Occupational therapy assessments
Rehability's team of qualified occupational therapists has a breadth of background and experience that can help and advise you on physical disability, anxiety and stress management and children’s development.Rehability can offer the right therapist for any specific problem.
Treatment & rehabilitation following injury or illness
After you have been assessed by an occupational therapist, a course of treatment may be necessary to restore optimal independence and quality of life. Rehability can offer individual treatment programmes which if necessary can be linked to home, school or workplace assessment to ensure that the skills and confidence regained are maintained after treatment intervention. Whether disability is a result of injury or illness, Rehability can help. Other therapies to complement rehabilitation are available.
Specialist paediatric occupational therapy
Rehability offers specialist paediatric occupational therapy services, with therapists experienced in sensory integration treatment for disorders of childhood development such as dyspraxia and attention deficit disorders. Early intervention can help both at home and school, and helps children adjust, enabling them to move forward with their physical and social development.
Return to work assessments
Rehability can help both employees and employers through assessment of those with disability or work-related injury. An occupational therapist can assess both the extent of a person’s disability and their residual capacity for work. In addition, Rehability has the facilities to offer work-hardening programmes to build stamina, confidence and the capacity to return to productive employment.
Training for care staff and disability professionals
Training support for carers, both those employed in the care industry and family members looking after relatives at home, is sadly lacking. Rehability offers training and advice for carers, from moving and handling to coping with dementia. Half-day and full day training for small groups can be arranged, with qualified trainers.
